This painting was commissioned by a very patient friend - it took about six years to complete. It includes 239 portraits of mostly British film stars remembered from our childhoods in the nineteen fifties. The title refers to the time that the afternoon programme used to start at the local Odeon cinema. It had to be monochrome because most of the films of the time were black and white.
