"Two Stars, Bynum"

This was an abandonned movie theatre in Bynum, USA. I stumbled upon this small town in rural North Carolina while on the way to somewhere else. I thought that the two stars were a logo or even the name of the cinema. Recently I was told that the two stars were part of a rating system which signified that the theatre was small and would not have first-run movies. The store next door to the theatre sold TVs and it was television which eventually put the cinema out of business.
