This was commissioned by a friend of mine who works in the film business. It depicts his top ten favourite film directors plus one of mine. There are more than eleven portraits here as some of the directors had significant collaborators - Alfred and Alma Hitchcock for example. The landscape is from a favourite film, "The Third Man", but its director, Carol Reed, did not make the top ten.
