This was a house in a street in Briare, France. It was the centenary of Gustave Eiffel's Pont Canal, a viaduct carrying the canal across the Loire, hence the celebratory flags seen here as a shadow on the wall. That night, at midnight, there a was a wonderful firework display from the viaduct over the river.
