This is near Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire. As a child I liked an advertising poster for "Start-Rite"® shoes, a neat visual pun on the idea that the shoes would last for ever. While it is not a deliberate copy of the advert this painting uses a similar design and perspective although in this case it is the rain that will go on for ever.
